Cell Phones
To ensure that students are fully engaged and present in their learning, and in alignment with the Ontario Ministry of Education’s provincial Code of Conduct, cell phones are not permitted at school (with the exception of those needed for medical reasons). They are not required to support the instructional program, as Chromebooks and calculators are always on-hand for students to access.
-
student cell phones should remain at home - if there is a safety need that would require students to carry their phone to school, parents should contact the school to make arrangements (i.e., they may be able to be stored in a secure lock box in the office).
-
families needing to communicate messages to their children throughout the instructional day can contact the main office.
